The Upper Valley Woodturners Club is excited to announce a new partnership with AVA Gallery in Lebanon, NH. Beginning on Saturday, October 10 we will be holding our meetings in the wood shop at AVA every other month. We hope to expand our membership and reach a larger audience in and around Lebanon, while bringing attention to the outstanding facilities at AVA Gallery.

In preparation for this partnership, the club has purchased a Powermatic 2035 C lathe with light and swing-away tailstock to be housed in the AVA Sculpture Studies building. This lathe was made possible by a generous donation from Verna James, in memory of her loving husband, Peter, who was a founding member of the UVWC.

The partnership allows any “maker members” of the AVA Gallery to attend our meetings in Lebanon free of charge. It also allows our members to use the lathe and other woodworking facilities at AVA with a membership rate based upon their ability to pay. Maker/mentor membership at AVA includes opportunities to teach and/or participate in classes, exhibit and sell work in their Bank Street Gallery and promote work in their Member Directory.
